Vaidya Yogeet Kapoor – Ayurvedacharya & Swiss Federally Qualified Naturopath in Ayurvedic Medicine

Ayurvedacharya · Vaidya · Swiss Federal Diploma in Naturopathy specialising in Ayurvedic Medicine · More than 20 years of experience

Vaidya Yogeet Kapoor is an Ayurvedacharya, trained in Ayurvedic medicine in India, and a Swiss federally qualified Naturopath specialising in Ayurvedic Medicine. With more than 16 years of professional practice in Switzerland, he works at L’essencce – Centre for Ayurvedic Medicine in Nyon, which he founded to preserve, practise and transmit Ayurveda in its traditional spirit while integrating it into the contemporary European healthcare context.

Born into a family tradition of Ayurveda and Unani practitioners, Yogeet Kapoor grew up surrounded by Indian medical traditions passed down through generations. These roots form an essential part of his professional path: preserving the principles and spirit of traditional Ayurveda while complementing them with academic education and an understanding of modern health sciences.

After initially studying pharmacy and becoming a pharmacist, he pursued his studies in Ayurvedic medicine in India, earning his degree and the title of Ayurvedacharya. The title combines Ayurveda, the “science of life”, and Acharya, traditionally referring to a teacher, scholar or master of a discipline.

His training subsequently took him to Kerala, a region renowned for its living traditions of Ayurvedic practice, where he completed practical training in Panchakarma at an Ayurveda Gurukulam. This immersion in the traditional Gurukula system, based on direct transmission of knowledge between teacher and student, deepened his practical understanding of classical Ayurvedic therapies and Panchakarma procedures.

His mission:
Treating the root cause of illness to promote lasting healing, awakening inner vitality and accompanying each individual towards a state of overall well-being.

A Training Bridging Ayurvedic Tradition and Health Sciences

Seeking to deepen his understanding of the connections between Ayurveda, naturopathy and other therapeutic approaches, Yogeet Kapoor continued his education in India and obtained a Doctor of Alternative Medicine – M.D. (A.M.).

This further training enabled him to study naturopathy, therapeutic yoga, acupuncture and various complementary approaches to health in greater depth.

Over the years, he also expanded his knowledge of certain principles of Chinese medicine, homoeopathy and aromatherapy. He has additionally trained in bioenergy using the ACMOS method and in hirudotherapy using medicinal leeches.

Despite this broad interdisciplinary background, Ayurveda remains at the centre of his professional approach: understanding each individual as a whole and considering constitution, digestion, nutrition, lifestyle, environment, natural rhythms and the development of imbalances.

Jyotish, Vastu and Traditional Sciences Associated with Ayurveda

As part of his commitment to understanding the broader Indian traditions historically connected with Ayurveda, Vaidya Yogeet Kapoor has also studied Jyotish – Vedic Astrology, traditionally regarded as one of the disciplines associated with Vedic knowledge.

He studied within a traditional lineage connected with the teachings of Achyutananda of Odisha, seeking to deepen his understanding of traditional perspectives on natural cycles, individual constitution and human life.

His studies also include Vastu Shastra, the traditional Indian knowledge concerned with the organisation and harmony of living spaces, as well as aspects of geobiology and Feng Shui.

These disciplines are offered separately from his clinical practice of Ayurvedic medicine and do not replace medical diagnosis or treatment. They form part of his wider commitment to preserving and transmitting different dimensions of India’s traditional knowledge systems.

From India to Switzerland – Bringing the Wisdom of Ayurveda to Europe

After completing his education in India, Yogeet Kapoor settled in Switzerland and continued his professional development within the Swiss naturopathy system.

He obtained the Swiss Federal Diploma in Naturopathy, specialising in Ayurvedic Medicine, bringing together his traditional and academic education in India with the professional standards of the Swiss healthcare system.

He is professionally recognised by ASCA, RME, Visana and EGK and is a member of ASMA/AMVS – the Swiss Association of Ayurvedic Medicine.

During more than 16 years of practice in Switzerland and Europe, he has worked to create a bridge between the traditional principles of Ayurveda and contemporary European life, adapting nutrition, lifestyle recommendations, therapies and Ayurvedic programmes to the practical realities of people living in Switzerland.

Founder of L’essencce – Centre for Ayurvedic Medicine in Nyon

Yogeet Kapoor founded L’essencce in 2012 and established its clinical practice in 2014, with the vision of creating a centre in Switzerland dedicated to practising and transmitting Ayurveda in its authentic traditional spirit.

Through clinical practice, education and engagement with the Swiss Ayurveda community, he is committed to preserving the depth and traditional foundations of Ayurveda while supporting its professional practice within contemporary Swiss standards.

More Than 20 Years of Experience – Including 16 Years in Switzerland

With more than 20 years of experience in Ayurveda, naturopathy and complementary therapies, including 16 years of practice in Switzerland and Europe, Vaidya Yogeet Kapoor has developed an approach built upon two complementary foundations:

Transmitted through family heritage, academic studies in India and the authentic Gurukula lineage tradition.

Represented by the Swiss Federal Diploma in Naturopathy specialising in Ayurvedic Medicine, official health recognitions, clinical experience and academic teaching.

His intention is to practise Ayurveda as a coherent and living medical tradition, rather than reducing it to a collection of massages, dietary advice or isolated therapeutic techniques.

His Mission

To preserve and transmit the authentic spirit of Ayurveda, connect its traditional wisdom with the realities of contemporary life, and accompany each individual according to their constitution, health terrain and personal journey.

Through L’essencce, Vaidya Yogeet Kapoor seeks to contribute to the understanding and development of an Ayurveda in Switzerland that remains faithful to its roots – a tradition in which nutrition, lifestyle, herbal medicine, body therapies, Panchakarma, Rasāyana, Yoga and an understanding of the individual as a whole belong to one interconnected vision of health.
