(Vamana )
(Virechana)
(Basti)
(Nasya)
(Raktamokshana)
Depending on your availability and the intensity of the program you are looking for, L’essencce offers three personalized Panchakarma formats, ranging from an essential introductory program to a more comprehensive therapeutic program.
In the Ayurvedic tradition, Panchakarma includes several purification procedures selected according to the individual’s constitution (Prakriti), current imbalances (Vikriti), digestive capacity (Agni), age, vitality, season and overall individual situation.
Not every procedure is appropriate for every person. The choice of treatment requires a prior assessment, and certain procedures may be contraindicated depending on health status, current medication or specific medical conditions.
Panchakarma does not mean that every patient automatically receives Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya and Raktamokshana.
Each program is individually designed following an Ayurvedic assessment and may take into consideration:
At L’essencce in Nyon, Panchakarma is offered as an outpatient program: you come to the centre for your consultations, Ayurvedic treatments and follow-up, then return home or to nearby accommodation. This allows you to experience a program inspired by the Ayurvedic tradition of Kerala, while remaining close to your family and everyday environment.
A Panchakarma does not end with the final treatment. Recovery, the gradual reintroduction of food, sleep, daily routines and the Rasāyana phase are integral parts of the process. Undertaking your program close to home makes it easier to progressively integrate these recommendations into your daily life while maintaining regular follow-up and easy access to your practitioner during and after the program.
The Panchakarma journey begins with Pūrva Karma, a preparatory phase designed to ready the body for deep detoxification by stimulating digestive fire (agni) and mobilizing stored toxins. This phase includes Deepana–Pachana to enhance digestion and burn accumulated metabolic waste, followed by Snehana (internal and external oleation) using medicated ghee and therapeutic oils to loosen toxins from tissues. Finally, Svedana (herbal steam therapy) gently dilates the channels, liquefying toxins and preparing the system for effective elimination. Pūrva Karma ensures that the body is optimally prepared for the main Panchakarma therapies, enhancing their safety, comfort, and efficiency.
Pradhāna Karma is the core phase of Panchakarma, where one or more of the five classical detox therapies—Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana—are selected based on the individual’s dosha imbalance, age, strength, and clinical needs. These therapies remove deep-seated toxins, restore systemic balance, and address chronic conditions at their root cause. By using personalized therapeutic techniques aligned with Ayurvedic diagnosis, Pradhāna Karma offers powerful purification, improved immunity, mental clarity, and long-lasting wellbeing.
Paścāt Karma, the post-purification phase of Panchakarma, focuses on rebuilding digestive strength, nourishing the tissues, and stabilizing Ojas—the foundation of immunity and vitality. This stage includes a carefully structured dietary protocol (Saṃsarjana Krama) that gradually rekindles Agni by progressing from light, easily digestible foods to a normal balanced diet. Rejuvenation therapies (Rasayana), using Ayurvedic herbs and specialized formulations, help restore strength, boost immunity and vitality, and promote longevity. Gentle lifestyle practices such as yoga, pranayama, rest, regular oil massage, and mindful daily routines further support healing and ensure the long-term benefits of Panchakarma.
